Dear Colleagues

I seek your vote in the forthcoming election for Drivers' staff rep at Waterloo where I am standing as your official ASLEF candidate.

I have been in the driving grade for 36 years during which time I have held various union and local positions including Assistant Branch Secretary, Branch Secretary, LDC co-op and LDC Secretary. I was first elected onto the LDC at Waterloo in 1996 at a very precarious time at the start of rail privatisation which were very difficult times to try and negotiate in. Over this period I have developed a wide understanding of ASLEF and company procedures.

As a local rep I have been involved in negotiating many local agreements that benefit our members today and fight to retain these agreements, and where possible enhance them. I have attended and successfully represented many members at Form 1, B10, attendance and Clause 9 hearings.

I feel I bring a vast knowledge and experience to what is currently a very strong LDC, compiling of rosters, scrutiny of diagrams, annual leave rosters and local timings for walking routes, as well as negotiating for our members at local level.

I have been, and remain loyal to ASLEF. It has always been a privilege to work on behalf of our members at Waterloo and I hope you will carry on supporting me in the role of local staff rep for Waterloo and ASLEF.

Yours fraternally
Anthony Holloway
